Below is a graphic explanation of how the Project North feature is defined in COMFEN.

If the project is orientated to that the north side of the building faces true north, the Project North is set to 0.

If the building is rotated off true north, the value of that rotation is entered in Project North (Project Properties), with a rotation to the East entered as a positive number (+) and a rotation to the West entered as a negative number (-). True North is represented below with the red arrow, and the black arrow represents the north orientation of the building.

COMFEN always displays the building with the building north pointing up, so then the Project North is represented by the small line on the north arrow, as shown below.
