Optics 6

Optics version 6.0 is tested under Microsoft Windows 7, Vista and XP™, Optics should also function under Windows NT (Service Pack 4) and Windows 2000, but this has not been extensively tested. Optics has only been tested on computers using regional settings which use "." as a decimal separator. We recommend that you use these settings when running Optics.

For the Windows 7 Operating System, Optics will be installed in two different directories:

C:\Program Files (x86)\LBNL\Optics6

  • Optics6.exe
  • UserOptions.txt

C:\Users\Public\LBNL\LBNL Shared

  • Empty UserGlazing.mdb
  • Glazing.mdb
  • UserGlazing.mdb

Optics has been tested and run successfully on Apple computers with Intel processors by using Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac. This software allows you to install Windows XP or Windows Vista on your Mac, and you can install our software in that version of Windows XP or Vista. See www.parallels.com for more information.

Windows 95 is no longer supported.

Hard Disk Space

At least 30MB of free hard disk space is required for the installation.
