Applied Film data submission procedure (Adobe Acrobat PDF file)
This file explains how applied films can be added to glass layers in Optics and then imported into WINDOW.
Pages 1-1 through 1-3 discuss how to submit the appropriate film and substrate data to LBNL to be included in the IGDB.

IGDB Data Submission form, revised 4/18/2005
NOTE TO DATA SUBMITTERS:
We are only accepting measured data at this time. Please email IGDB@lbl.gov with questions.
For laminates or applied films with embedded coatings, we will accept measured data for products submitted as a whole product, but not for products that can be "deconstructed" by Optics to reuse individual components with other glass layers, films or interlayers.
Filename length -- please do not submit files with names containing more than 30 characters (including the extension)

Applied films that are applied to the coated side of a substrate can only be submitted as a whole product, not as a film that can be "deconstructed" in Optics5.
common for an applied film to have a coating, and this can be submitted
applied to uncoated glass as an applied film that can be "deconstructed"
Coatings embedded in laminate
For laminates with embedded
coatings (defined as glass with a coating that is touching the interlayer), we will accept measured data for products submitted as a whole
product, but not for products that can be "deconstructed" by Optics to reuse
individual components with other glass layers or interlayers.
