| Implemented the ASTM SI-10 conversion units for converting from SI (WINDOW5's native units) to IP. | |
ID's greater than 33,000 now should work for all libraries |
Optics DB path is now remembered in File/Preferences |
Program doesn’t crash when accidentally opening an Optics database as a WINDOW 5 database |
Fixed memory leaks -- one related to THERM temperature profile data and one from repeated open and closing of databases |
Opening a recent file no longer causes the current file from not appearing on the recent file list |
Reports should now print properly with the Microsoft XP Operating System |
When the Nominal Thickness preference is changed, all results (both window and glazing system) are invalidated and must be recalculated |
Going from List to Detailed view in the glazing system library is no longer slow |
| Fixed bad behavior when there were no records in any of the libraries | |
| Copy and New now prompt for saving the current record before making the new record | |
| Keyboard shortcuts have been added for most buttons |
| Fixed bug where the Delete key would delete an entire record in the Window Library Detailed View | |
| Fixed bug which would not allow calculation of Tilted products | |
| Fixed bug which caused a Division by Zero error when generating some reports | |
| More rigorous checking of updated Frame and Divider libraries when doing a calculation of multiple records from the Window Library List View. Now that calculation should always produce the same result as a calculation from the Window Library Detailed View |
Added Export function to the SHGC0/1 and VT0/1 Details dialog box to export the results to a CSV file. |
Temperature map now displays properly |
Dewpoint temperature in CI Details view now displays in the units that the program is in (either SI or IP -- used to only show SI) |
Angular data is now correct in the Window Library detailed report |
3 decimal output for SCc, SHGCc, and VTc for Glazing Systems in the Window Library detailed report |
Energy Plus reports now work properly for windows with two glazing systems |
Relative pathnames no longer cause Temperature Map image to fail |
Minor format changes to the Window Library detailed report |
Added a Color Properties Tab which displays L*a*b*, purity and dominant wavelength |
A warning is displayed at Calc time if there are glass layers that do not have spectral data |
Optics standards files that don't have color or UV methods now generate warnings, rather than errors, and set those values to "N/A" |
Occasional non-responsive glazing system layer spin button fixed (this happened when you changed another field first (e.g. comment) then directly hit the spin button. |
| A warning is displayed when copying a glass record saying that the copied record will not contain spectral data. | |
| Added the ability to export WINDOW 4.1 style spectral data text files |
| Clean up deleted glazing system layers in the underlying database when the program is closed. Before, they were kept in the database and just not referenced, now that is cleaned up. |
| Fixed bug where the EnergyPlus and DOE2 reports may get the following error message "Division by zero" in dialog box labeled "Optics5 DLL error in CIE Dominant Wavelength calc". |
| Added Reports for the List View in all libraries | |
| Added option to Save reports to either Text or RTF formats. |
Added name of spectral data file if one exists in the glazing system section |

Added New, Copy, Delete, Save and Report buttons to all the Library Detailed view |
Added ability to import and overwrite protected records with protected records from another WINDOW5 database |
Added a database “Compacting” feature in the Tools menu, which is useful when records have been deleted. |
Added a tab in the Results section for Angular Data. |
Added a Glazing System Report (similar to that in WINDOW 4.1) which includes the angular dependence table and the temperature information. |
Added damage weighted UV Transmittance calculations for both Krochman and ISO methodologies |
Implemented a checksum feature, at both glass layer import and also at calculation time, which checks to see that the spectral data in the Glass Library has not been altered from that of the International Glazing Database. If the checksum does not compute correctly, WINDOW will automatically remove the # value. |
Conductivity of the glass layers from the International Glazing Database have been set to 1.0. This will minimally change the U-factor calculations. |
When importing records from the International Glazing Database, the IGDB version number is displayed. |
Reads Optics 5.1-format databases |
Added ability to change the ID of a record imported from the Optics5 user database. |
Changed what the program pre-pends in the Source field when importing records – importing from the International Glazing Database pre-pends “IDGB < db version #>”, importing from an Optics5 user database prepends “IGDB User”. |
The gas properties reported in the DOE2 report are now correct |
The THERM file paths are now relative to the currently open database (MDB) file. |
Improved the speed of importing THERM files. |
Fixed a problem for Microsoft Windows XP and 2000 operating systems that caused a large increase in memory use when importing THERM files. |
Fixed a crash when going from the List View to the Detail View |
