mercial buildings, research

tions show that total electricity and peak demand savings of 20-40%
in 
lighting and its associated cooling 
energy can be achieved with the 
proper use of dimmable daylighting 
cont rols t hroughout t he Unit ed States. 
Even with the availability of more 
energy-efficient lamps, electronic 
ballasts, and alternative control sys- tems, the potential for daylighting is 
substantial.
